Post More Indepth Officer Ranking

I think it'd be kind of neat to be able to play around with Officer Ranking and make it a little more elaborate and drawn out. This is actually a double-idea kind of so bear with me here.

First off, it'd be kind of cool to have more than one type of officer. One could have the Guild Leader, then Generals, then Lieutennants. Each tier having different power in the guild.
Secondly one should be able to have a customized template of Officer types for their guild. Like say if it was a guild based on a religeous hierarchy, instead of a leader they would have a "High Priest" or "High Priestess". It could be based on a Nobles and Aristocratic scale where the leader is "Lord" or something. Maybe there could be a barbaric type of guild where the leader is a "Chieftan" instead.
Just an idea I thought would be neat. Combine the two ideas and you have a cool way to customize your Guild layout I would think.

I agree that there should be a tiered officer heirarchy.

But instead of the customized template it should be based on what type of Guild Hall your Guild has. Different heirarchies according to the individual Guild Halls.

Additionally, the title you have within the Guild should precede your character's name. Example:

Chieftain Dougal Kronik [GLEN]
Tyrian Master Cartographer (95.0%)

I would like to have this because just Officer seems a bit vague and dull to me. Not to mention it just seems like a large group with the whole titles of Leader,Officer,Member. This would at least make it a bit better for roleplayers.

Either one could work I think, although it might be somewhat difficult to pin guild titles to certain Guild Halls such as the Jade Hall and the Hall of the Dead. Personally I think your idea would work for the class-based Guild Hall types, but the halls are so diverse that it'd be 20x easier to stick with a template that the guild leader can choose upon guild creation.

As for the title preceding your character's name, I like that idea. Sounds like it'd be a good addition, thanks~

imagine the space that would take up though

maybe your title should only appear if you hover your mouse over their name.

That's logical I suppose. It would take up a lot of room. Or maybe instead of putting it in front of the name you could put it right under it. Like...

Dougal Kronik [GLEN]
Glenberry Fencibles Chieftain

and then just knock off the exploration rate. I never really pay attention to that anyway.

I think you should be able to change the template anytime you want just so if the guild's ideas change. You know like from religious to barbaric etc.

how does that add to elitism if it's only in-guild? If you want the title, start your own guild so it'll say "Guild Lord" next to your name if you're so worried.

BTW, /signed for more officer titles and ranks

GW makes the distinction between the founder, those who can kick and invite, and those who cant.

The rest you can make up and RolePlay yourselves.
